Dar Nour was the first guest house to open in Tangier. Opened in 1999, Dar Nour is a genuinely beautiful, old Kasbah house, built on different levels, filled with nooks and crannies, and restored with a true feeling for beauty and simplicity.

Dar Nour means « the house of light », and the aim was to accent the sunlight playing on the whitewashed walls. The travel guide Géo , and French magazines such as Le Point, Capital, L’art de voyager, and Jalouse all agree that it is the top place to stay in Tangier.
